Wix Pricing 2026: Every Plan, What It Costs, Who It Fits

Wix pricing for 2026: every plan from Free to Business Elite, what each one includes, ecommerce, domain and payment fees, and when an AI builder fits better.

Wix pricing starts at $0 for the Free plan, and the paid plans run $17, $29, $39 and $159 a month, billed yearly and paid up front. Online payments and ecommerce start on Core ($29/month). On top of the plan you pay card processing fees and, after the first year, your domain renewal.

We make Youmake, an AI app builder that turns a description into a website, web app, mobile app or slide deck, with code you can export. So we're not neutral, but this guide sticks to what Wix publishes on its own pricing page and help center, checked on October 27, 2026. We didn't buy Wix plans to test them. You won't find invented benchmarks here, only the published numbers and what they mean for your budget.

Disclosure: Youmake competes with Wix for people who want a site built for them. Every Wix number below comes from Wix's official pages.

Wix pricing for every plan (October 2026)

These are the USD prices on wix.com/plans. Wix says the displayed prices are for yearly subscriptions, paid in full at the time of purchase, and that prices and currency vary by location.

What each step up adds, according to the plan cards:

  • Free: hosting, the drag-and-drop editor, no-code design features and Wix's templates. Your site lives on a wixsite.com address, and Wix's FAQ says a Premium plan is what lets you connect your own domain and remove Wix branding.
  • Light: a free domain for one year, 2 GB of storage, multi-cloud hosting, a "light" marketing suite and 2 site collaborators. No online payments.
  • Core: the first plan that accepts payments, with basic eCommerce, scheduling and services, 50 GB of storage and 5 collaborators.
  • Business: marked "Recommended" by Wix. Standard eCommerce, a standard marketing suite, 100 GB and 10 collaborators.
  • Business Elite: advanced eCommerce and marketing, the advanced developer platform, unlimited storage and 100 collaborators.

Every paid plan lists a custom domain, hosting, AI creation tools, 24/7 customer care and the 14-day money-back guarantee.

How much does Wix cost per year?

Because the listed prices are monthly rates on a yearly plan paid up front, the first charge is the full year:

PlanMonthly ratePaid up front for 12 months (before tax)
Light$17$204
Core$29$348
Business$39$468
Business Elite$159$1,908

Wix notes that "additional subscription periods are available", but monthly-billing prices aren't shown on the pricing page. If you don't want to commit for a year, check the final price on the purchase page before you pay. Taxes are added on top, based on your billing address.

The costs that aren't in the plan price

Payment processing. If you sell through Wix Payments in the US, Wix's help center lists these fees:

Payment method (US)Fee per transaction
Credit/debit card (excl. American Express)2.9% + $0.30
American Express3.7% + $0.30
PayPal3.49% + $0.49

Wix also lists a 1.5% cross-border fee, a 1% currency conversion fee when the payment currency differs from your site's, and a $15 chargeback fee in the US ($20 for PayPal).

The domain after year one. The free domain voucher is only for the first purchase of a Premium plan, must be redeemed within 60 days, and only covers a new domain bought from Wix. It doesn't cover renewing a domain or a plan upgrade, so from year two you pay for the domain separately.

Email. A personalized address (info@yourdomain.com) comes through a separate Google Workspace plan, according to Wix's FAQ.

Which Wix plan fits which person?

  • Trying Wix out: Free. Fine for a draft or a hobby page, as long as the wixsite.com address and Wix branding are acceptable.
  • A simple site on your own domain, no selling: Light at $17/month yearly.
  • Taking bookings or selling a few products: Core at $29/month yearly is the cheapest plan with payments.
  • A growing store or service business: Business at $39/month yearly, with more storage and collaborators.
  • Large catalogs or teams that need developer tools: Business Elite at $159/month yearly, or Enterprise.

Wix review: where it's strong and where it isn't

Wix is a mature platform. Bookings, stores, marketing tools and more than 2,000 templates sit in one dashboard, and the AI website builder can start a site from a single prompt. For a local business that wants everything under one login, that's a good deal.

The trade-off is lock-in. Wix's help center says a Wix site runs only on Wix's servers because "the SaaS architecture does not support external hosting." You can move your domain, but not the site's code. If you stop paying, you rebuild somewhere else. Wix is also built around websites and stores. For a custom web app, Wix bought Base44, which is a separate product with its own pricing.

Best forLocal businesses that want an all-in-one site and storePeople who want a site built from a description, plus apps and code they own

Pick Wix if you want an all-in-one site with a store and bookings and you're fine staying on Wix for good. We recommend Youmake if you'd rather describe what you want than drag blocks around, you need a web app, mobile app or pitch deck alongside the site, or you want the code in your own GitHub. How to do this with Youmake

  1. Start a trial at youmake.dev and open the composer.

  2. Describe the business and the pages you need. For example:

Build a website for a small yoga studio in Austin: a home page with class times, a pricing page with three passes, an instructors page, and a contact page with a booking form. Calm, light design that works well on phones.

  3. Review the live preview and ask for changes in chat, one at a time. Each change shows its credit cost.

  4. Connect Stripe if you take payments, and Supabase if you need logins or saved data.

  5. Publish to your own domain, and sync the code to GitHub so you keep a copy.

The Youmake composer: choose what to build, then describe it
