Lovable Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What Things Cost

Lovable pricing explained: Free, Pro and Business plans, every credit tier from $25 a month, what a single change costs, and what ends on October 31, 2026.

Lovable pricing starts at $0 on the Free plan, then $25 a month for Pro and $50 a month for Business, each with 100 monthly credits at the entry tier. Both paid plans scale up to 10,000 credits a month. Everything you do in Lovable, from building to hosting to the AI features inside your app, draws from that one credit balance, so the real cost depends on how much you change and how many people use what you ship.

We make Youmake, an AI app builder for websites, web apps, mobile apps and slide decks, so we read competitor pricing closely. Every Lovable number below comes from Lovable's own documentation, checked on October 27, 2026. We didn't run paid test projects, so you'll find Lovable's published prices and examples here, not our own benchmarks.

Disclosure: Youmake competes with Lovable. We've kept to Lovable's published facts, including the places where it gives you more than we do.

Lovable Pro pricing, every tier

Pro is the plan most solo builders end up on. You pick a credit tier from a dropdown, and the price scales with it.

200$50$500 ($42/month)
400$100$1,000 ($84/month)

10,000$2,250$22,500 ($1,875/month)

Pro adds the things most people pay for: a custom domain, removing the "Edit with Lovable" badge, editing and downloading the code, design systems, user roles, email support, credit rollover and top-ups.

Lovable Business pricing, every tier

Business costs twice as much per credit at the entry tier: $50 a month for the same 100 credits.

Monthly creditsMonthly billingAnnual billing

200$100$1,000 ($84/month)

What the extra money buys is mostly control: single sign-on, role-based access, the security center and security insights, commit attribution, design templates, personal projects inside a workspace, the Lovable API, password-protected and expiring preview links, and priority support. Workspace data is also excluded from AI model training by default on Business, where Free and Pro users have to opt out per account.

What's on the Lovable Free plan

The Free plan is a real way to try Lovable, but it's tight:

  • 5 daily build credits, capped at 30 a month. Lovable's own example: you get daily credits for the first 6 days of the month (6 × 5 = 30), then none until the 1st.
  • A daily chat allowance, smaller than on paid plans.
  • A 20-credit monthly Cloud grant, a 4-credit monthly AI grant and a 1-credit monthly connector grant.
  • Unlimited workspace members, private projects, and Git sync with GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket.
  • Publishing to invited people only, up to 10 per project.

What Free leaves out: a custom domain, removing the Lovable badge, editing or downloading the code in Lovable, rollovers and top-ups. When you run out, you wait or you upgrade.

Students and teachers can get 50% off Pro with 100 credits a month, billed monthly, for up to 12 months. The discount only covers that one tier, and you have to verify while you're still on Free.

How Lovable credits work

One balance pays for five kinds of usage: building, chatting, Cloud hosting and backend, AI features in your deployed app, and some managed connectors. Lovable spends the matching free grants first (the daily chat allowance, daily build credits, and the monthly Cloud, AI and connector grants), then your general credits, starting with whichever expire soonest.

What a change costs

Plan mode costs 1 credit per message, plus any subagent research Lovable runs while planning. Build mode is usage-based: the bigger the request, the more it costs. Lovable publishes these illustrative examples:

PromptCredits used
Make the button gray0.50
Remove the footer0.90
Add authentication1.20
Build a landing page with images2.00

Lovable notes that these are examples and that actual costs vary with your project. As rough arithmetic, 100 Pro credits would cover about 200 edits the size of "make the button gray", or about 50 landing pages with images. Real projects mix small and large changes, plus the fixes in between.

A few other rules worth knowing:

  • Chat is priced per message, "typically a fraction of a credit." It uses the daily chat allowance first, then daily build credits, then general credits.
  • Goal runs (the /goal command) bill on the work done but cost "noticeably more," because Lovable keeps working until the goal is met.
  • Long messages can run for up to 10 hours. Lovable checks in each time a single message crosses your check-in level, 20 credits by default. That check-in is a notification, not a hard cap, and the feature is in beta.
  • Stopped requests are charged for the work completed. If you stop before Lovable changes anything, you aren't charged.

Cloud and AI usage after launch

Your bill doesn't stop when you finish building. If your app uses Lovable's built-in backend, the database server, storage, network, compute and realtime traffic all draw credits. AI features inside your app are billed per model call, based on the model, tokens, images or seconds of video and voice. The monthly Cloud grant (20 credits) and AI grant (4 credits) cover the first part of that; after that, it comes out of your general credits.

Lovable's docs don't list a per-unit rate for Cloud usage, so you can't price a busy app in advance from the docs alone. If your balance hits zero, building stops, AI features in deployed apps stop working, and apps on the built-in backend pause. Your published site stays live.

Rollover, expiry and top-ups

  • Unused monthly credits roll over while your subscription is active, but they still expire 2 months after they were issued on monthly plans, or 1 month after the annual period ends on annual plans.
  • Daily credits reset at 00:00 UTC and never roll over.
  • Top-ups cost $15 per 50 credits on Pro ($0.30 per credit) and $30 per 50 credits on Business ($0.60 per credit). They're valid for 12 months.

Compare that with the plan rate: Pro's 100-credit tier works out to $0.25 per credit, and Lovable's docs use that same $0.25 rate for Pro and $0.50 for Business. Topping up regularly costs more than moving up a tier, and Lovable says so itself.

What changes after October 31, 2026

Lovable's credits documentation says the current chat pricing model, "including the per-message price and the daily chat allowance, applies through October 31, 2026." It also calls the monthly Cloud, AI and connector grants "a temporary offering and subject to change."

Build mode, Plan mode, image and video generation, and Cloud and AI usage follow standard pricing and aren't part of that offer. So the price of building isn't what's flagged to change. What may change is how much chat you get for free, and whether the monthly hosting and AI grants stay. If your workflow leans on chat, budget as if the free allowance could shrink.

If you're weighing a switch around that date, our guide to Lovable alternatives compares eight tools with current prices.

Who Lovable's pricing fits

  • Good fit: a founder or maker who wants to start free, build a polished web app, and keep hosting, data and AI features inside one platform and one bill.
  • Good fit: teams that need SSO and governance and will pay Business rates for them.
  • Harder fit: heavy iterators. Every change costs credits, and runtime usage shares the same balance, so a successful app can compete with your own building for credits.
  • Harder fit: anyone who needs a mobile app or slide deck next to the web app, or who wants to hand a client their own domain and code on the cheapest plan.

Each tool defines a credit its own way, so don't compare 100 against 40 directly. Connected services like Supabase may also bill you separately.

Where Lovable is stronger: it has a free plan, and its built-in backend means you don't connect outside services. Where we think Youmake is the better choice: you build more than web apps from one workspace, your app's backend lives in your own Supabase account instead of sharing a balance with your building, you publish to your own domain, and each agent reply shows the credits it used. That matters most for freelancers and agencies who hand the finished project to a client. Our full Youmake vs Lovable comparison goes feature by feature.

How to do this with Youmake

If you came here to price a Lovable project, you can build the same thing in Youmake and watch what each step costs.

  1. Start a trial at youmake.dev and pick Web App (or Mobile App or Slides) in the composer.

  2. Describe the app in one message. For example:

Build a booking web app for a two-person physiotherapy clinic: a public page with services and prices, a booking form with date and time slots, and an admin page listing upcoming appointments. Use a calm, clean design.

  3. Connect your own Supabase project for the database and logins, so the data stays in your account.

  4. Make changes one request at a time. Each agent reply shows how many credits it used, so you can see your burn rate before it surprises you.

  5. Publish to your own domain, then export the code or sync it to GitHub. See how code ownership works in Youmake.
